FAQ – Party Paint

Made using food grade and non-toxic ingredients, PurColour Neon Party Paint is designed for entertainment purposes only.  It is designed to be temporary and washable and not as a long term coating like normal paints.  It is a great way to incorporate vibrant liquid color into your event and it also glows under black lights!

While it’s skin friendly and non-toxic it is not intended for consumption.

PurColour Party Paint is designed for easy cleanup but it can stain natural fibers like cotton.  It is best used outdoors but can also be used indoors on concrete floors (floor drains are recommended).  You should prepare the venue with slip resistant floor material to ensure safety.

1. Pour the entire bag of paint mix and the optimizer packet into your bucket or container.
2. Add one gallon of water and mix thoroughly with a paddle mixer (available in the paint section at hardware stores) attached to a drill (it will be very thick).
3. Keep adding water, one gallon at a time, and mixing until you achieve the desired thickness
4. Let sit for two to three hours and mix again.

An even better/faster way to mix the paint is with a 21” immersion blender.  They are readily available online at a variety of price points.

We provide estimates based on the number of participants. We recommend a minimum of 5 gallons of mixed ready to use paint for every 20 participants.  Each bag of paint concentrate powder can make 5-15 gallons of finished party paint depending on your desired thickness.

Our product can be used indoors and outdoors.  Keep in mind, you need to prepare your venue with slip resistant floor material and cover any surfaces that you don’t want to get wet.

Yes! PurColour party paint is water based and made with non-toxic pigments.
